Jack’s trust in Njoki had been damaged so badly that their relationship was nearing its end, although their sex life had improved.
Jack and Pauline went to Jordan, where Jack rode a pony out of Petra in a flash flood. A week later, Jack visited Maria Fuchs for a weekend of passion. Unfortunately, Maria’s personal practices were not compatible with normal sex. Jack pushed on to Budapest, where he narrowly averted an international incident.
He began a row with UNON over family visit regulations, and announced his resignation, but he reconsidered after going back in Australia. Jack’s family came back to Kenya with him and travelled to the coast where he went scuba diving with his boys, and was left stranded in the middle of the ocean. Rose the maid stole money from his family to buy a farm and disappeared. The boys went home and Jack and Carmen pushed on to Zanzibar in Ramadan, then to Zambia where he picked up the first completed worksheet. His Programme was now safe.
At the end of April 1995, Prepcom II was held in Nairobi. The donors supported the Programme and the global rollout began.
Njoki stole money from Jack in a complicated stratagem, and absconded to Florida to be with her Texan. The Texan was a drunk with no money. When Jack exposed Njoki’s deceptions, the Texan sent her packing back to Kenya, where she fell on hard times.
Jack took an apartment in an Indian compound in Westlands, moving away from Buffalo Bills. On Gladys’ birthday, with Njoki gone, the girls of Buffalo Bills all piled into Jack’s car expecting gruppisexi in his new Westlands apartment, but had a singalong instead.
With his new funds, Jack took several new staff and four regional coordinators on board. He went to Rio de Janeiro, where he investigated slums with Ariel. He then visited Rod in Canada, who took him to a strip joint and a gay sunbathing venue.
Jack then engaged in a massive 12-country mission through Ecuador, Costa Rica and the Caribbean, then to Egypt, Gaza, Korea and South-east Asia, picking up commitments to collect indicators all along the way..
Pauline and Jessie were both accused of racism. After enjoying family life with Mumbi for six months, Jack and Mumbi finally became lovers, and his world became tranquil at last.
